Banana Cantaloupe Smoothie Recipe
This smoothie tastes like summer. The cantaloupe makes it lighter than a straight banana smoothie and the orange juice brightens everything up. Using only frozen fruit, with no ice, is the key to a creamy texture that isn’t watery.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups frozen cantaloupe chunks (1-inch pieces)
- 1 cup frozen banana slices
- 3/4 cup pulp-free orange juice
- 1/2 cup full-fat plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of Diamond Crystal kosher salt
- A pinch of ground ginger
Combine and Blend
Place all ingredients into a high-powered blender.
Start blending on low speed, then quickly increase to high. Blend for ~1-2 minutes, or until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. You may need to use the blender’s tamper to push the frozen fruit down.
Check Consistency and Flavor
Pour into a glass. The texture should be thick and smooth, like a milkshake.
Taste it. If you prefer it sweeter, you can blend in another teaspoon of maple syrup. If it’s too thick for your liking, blend in another splash of orange juice until it reaches the consistency you want.
Serve Immediately
This smoothie is best enjoyed right away, while it’s still cold and creamy.
